This realization was, again, possible thanks to Robot-Maker.com who provided me with the material and will soon be published in the ebook. This weather station will serve as an example to apply the knowledge acquired in the previous chapters. We plan to create different and more complex versions as the chapters are written. The first version is designed to display the date and time and measure brightness, humidity, and ambient temperature.
Operating principle :
- Every 3 seconds we read the different sensors for the ambient temperature, relative humidity, a relative position of the sun (using 2 Light Dependent Resistors) as well as its relative light intensity, then the time read on the Real Time Clock module is added.
- And all this is displayed on a 1602 or 2004 LCD screen connected in I2C.
